No Cap on GM Victim Compensation

GM Compensation

With the news that GM have appointed Kenneth Feinberg as the administrator for their compensation fund, families who have been fighting their claims for years should shortly received their payouts. This is the final stage to compensate those families and injured parties who suffered accidents due to a faulty power switch installed in some GM models.

Feinberg has said that he has total authority under the protocol awarded to him by GM and that the auto manufacturer will have no say as to who is eligible, nor the amount to be paid. He also confirmed that there will be no cap on the amount paid to any one family or individual

There will be a mathematical calculation to ascertain how much each family or victim should receive based on lost earnings over the lifetime of the victim and an additional amount for pain and suffering. He invited the family members and victims to contact him so that they could go and see him, or he would go to them, to discuss their individual cases.
