Early on Saturday morning, March 21, a brother and sister were involved in a serious crash on Interstate 80.
According to Utah Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly after midnight at the 105 mile marker near the Great Saltair. The driver of the vehicle, a blue Honda, was a 19 year old woman and her passenger was her 21 year old brother. They were traveling westbound on I 80 when the driver took her eyes of the road and the car went onto the left shoulder. When she realized she turned the wheel to the right then over corrected back to the left and the car hit the road barrier in the median.
The emergency services arrived and medical services were called as a precaution. Neither of the occupants were taken to hospital and both escaped without serious injury.
It is unknown if the driver was cited.
